Are the campaign conversion mods better?

Recently got into the game and have been playing through all of the campaigns with different aircraft. However, I am a mod addict and found this community recently. I looked at the Desert Storm Campaign and it looked pretty cool. Do these handmade campaigns differ from the originals in a significant way?

Desert Storm has nothing to do with stock campaigns. It's a stand-alone release that doesn't come from anything previous. And it's awesome.

Campaign conversions add a lot to vanille campaigns : more sams, targets, AAA, and above all more planes to fly or fight against

For instance, for roling thunder, you can fly wild weasel F105F, which are réal fun
