+Deuces Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 While working on the Cuba Campaign I thought the skies just didn't look right to me. I think I may have the color call outs figured in the environmentalsystem.ini So if some may be interested in a sky update I'll pursue it further. If not no biggy, got tons to do. :D Here's a shot w/ a before and after --time of day is set to noon. Old sky on the left, new on the right. Quote
*Fast Eagle* Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Looks real good I would be interested, but finish your other tasks first. A chance to blow up Castro's palace is more appealing to me than sky Quote
Guest Ranger332 Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 AGREE WIT ABOVE BUT LIKE THE SECOND Quote
+Deuces Posted February 25, 2003 Author Posted February 25, 2003 Slave drivers :D I've been planting trees all day in the hot sun. "Come mister talley man talley me banana...daylight come and me wanna go home" Quote

+pcpilot Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 The new sky definately looks better, even real. Good job as usual Dueces. Quote
Guest Sony Tuckson Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Congratulations, this sky will soon (when you find time to finish it up) become a MUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Rogue Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 The new one looks much, much better. Can you post the tweak? Or do we have to wait? Quote
Rogue Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 I think I've got it. Try this: [Day] SunHeight=0.250 SunBrightness=1.0 SunLightLevel=1.0 SunColor=0.545,0.550,0.528 AmbientColor=0.350,0.350,0.385 SkyColor=0.240,0.556,0.776 HorizonColor=0.733,0.847,0.972 FogColor=0.564,0.627,0.805 I'm not sure what you are using for the AmbientColor value, I didn't change mine yet. But it is pretty close. The top one is with the changes. I've yet to remember which order to add my attachments. Jim Quote
Rogue Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 Here is my final version. Got the AmbientColor tweaked to my liking: [Day] SunHeight=0.250 SunBrightness=1.0 SunLightLevel=1.0 SunColor=0.545,0.550,0.528 AmbientColor=0.486,0.486,0.525 SkyColor=0.240,0.556,0.776 HorizonColor=0.733,0.847,0.972 FogColor=0.564,0.627,0.805 Quote
+Deuces Posted February 28, 2003 Author Posted February 28, 2003 Here was my settings: [Day] SunHeight=0.250 SunBrightness=1.0 SunLightLevel=1.0 SunColor=0.545,0.550,0.528 AmbientColor=0.624,0.592,0.526 SkyColor=0.210,0.476,0.659 HorizonColor=0.791,0.877,0.952 FogColor=0.564,0.627,0.805 Pretty damn close. Rogue Posted March 2, 2003 Posted March 2, 2003 Should we tell them the secret, Deuces? I'm going to play with the other values and see if I can get a Florida sunset. :D Quote
