Adding Trees

Hello there,

 

I have come from the Lock On community, having reciently discovered Wings over Vietnam. While I know that there is a durastic difference between the two simulations, I was curious if it were possible to improve WOV's graphics. Most notably, the trees. I was wondering if It were possible to find any terrain with an abundance of trees to add to the visual effect. I find the ground a bit stagnant in WOV. Could someone point me in the direction of an addon that will grant me the desired effect?

Deuces ( http://www.sfmods.com/ ) has an upgraded SEA terrain set, that's just recently been updated. He also released a tree pack some time ago. Let me know if you cannot find it.

I've been looking for Deuces WoV tree Pak as well, checked his site, didn't find it.

Don't remember ever seeing it at AVSIM. Not sure where to look next. Any ideas?

Fubes, that's a nice SEA map. Just curious but what's the possibility of that map causing a bit of chunk up during game?

Hellcat, place all the files in your WoV/Terrain/VietnamSEA folder.

 

 

 

Saywhat, I've not noticed any impact on framerates, even when flying at tree-top level, and my present system isn't exactly state of the art.

Some of the readme's refer to a tree tutorial by Deuces. I tried searching for this here, at Deuces site, and a google search, to no avail. Any idea where the tutorial has moved to? Thanks in advance.
