Don't know about the 50 cal desert Eagle, but I have fired the .44 Magnum Desrt Eagle made by the Israeli militery industries. (At one time I have fired 120 guns, 5 clips each in a days work. ), and I can tell you first hand. it is quite easy to handle. Sure, you have got to have a strong arm.
