+NeverEnough Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 The final release of Zur's Talon is available now at his site. Thanks for another noteworthy addition to the SFP1 sim! Quote
Piloto Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 It still burns into flames when you push top speed... Quote
+JediMaster Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 You've got to turn on the air conditioning. Quote
raidenandsolid Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 really? I had that think pushing over 2k kts and I was still flying just fine. Man it was a blast flying at 20 ft from ground going that fast.. (of course trying to do mid-air barrel rolls and not paying attentions to nearby mountains is definitely healthy) Quote
+Zurawski Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 If you exceed mach 4.0 (depending on altitude)... there is "still" a chance of getting a little "hot in the britches" if you know what I mean... "WHY" anyone would need to go faster than mach 4 is beyond me... LOL! The afterburner is 5 stage... just back off a bit and you'll be fine. Quote
Mannie Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Hey Zur, thanks for new Talon. realy is something alse. Mine doesn't catch fire. (how do you get mach 4?) It sure have a funny lookin' take off for some reason. I can live with that. Thanks Zur. Cheers. Quote
gerald14 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I did!!!!! I climb up to 80,000 feet and dive down at full burner!!!!!! Cool thing is that I was targeting a T-72 with a 2000 lb bomb and I still miss!!!! Quote

The funny take-off is a result of the massive thrust developed and the effect of the canards. In order to get the top speed this thing is supposed to have the engine output is unreal... Quote
