Get some guys together once a week or so and do some flying online? Do F-4's or F-100's or any of the Vietnam Era Aircraft... even try some demonstartion flying stuff using the beutifull Thunderbirds skin for the F-4. Maybe get some guys together for some agressor mig action? Anyone else interested in playing online?

Ok so there is two... what is the best way to play online? I know I was apart of a TIE Interceptor Squadron for X-Wing Alliance and there was a server we would all get together on but that was years ago...I would love to get some compitition going amogst some of us on this very site. I mean hell, if we can get three or four squadrons together, we can have some real bragging rights going on!

I'm definately down. Like to spar against Fulcrums and Flankers in a Hornet, Tomcat, or Viper and really see what's the top **** in airpower against a real competitor. Just need to organize a time of when to play - I got to work ya know.

I think we all have jobs... or I hope anyways. My old man was an AF SP BTW. I would like our little squadron to pick one fighter and master it. That would have us mopping up Fulcrums and SU's I would think. Vipers are cool, I am down for the Tomcat, And of course if we really wanna be the "Yodas of airpower" the F-4 Phantom II, if mastered, should be servicable even against newer birds. I would not think we would be getting together online more then once a week or bi-weekly, Or whatever worked.

I've only got WoV, but I'd still be interested.
All the planes mentioned will work on your sim if you DL them. And of course if we stuck to the Phantom or the Crusader or somthing from the Vietnam era we would not have to worry about it.

Hm... well, perhaps say one night we fly vietnam era, next night cold war, and next night modern airpower. If we constantly keep it at just one aircraft, people will start to lose interest. However, I do agree in uniformity with what we fly (everybody flies the same airframe). Although, we could have a mix-up night where we get to choose or own wings. I know I'm not particularly fond of vietnam aircraft(not enough technology in them to make me feel comfortable in a combat situation - hence why I'm making the JSF), but I would still fly them, as long as we would also give the cold war and modern jets a go every now and then. I guess it all depends on what your main focus is. Do you just want a small group of friends that like to fly what you fly, or do you want to start an actuall online gamming community where there are a bunch of people who would want to play and have the opportunity to pilot their favorite aircraft against somebody else's and see if skill or technology would be the better tool for air combat.

Right now would problably be too much trouble trying to start an online community as only SFP1 and WOV are supported. If Hyperlobby would pick up WOE (has anyone even tried to contact them about adding WOE to the list?) then we could start "dragging" in more people to fly the skies.

Personally I would be down, but you have to rememeber we all have to have the exact same aircraft and all ini files the exact same, if I am correct?(I am just assuming, but I do believe we have to at least have the same a/c and same loadout ini)

Either way if we could get this organized I would be down for some flying time.

Agreed, mixing it up would be cool too. I just think it is a damn shame that here we are... all lovers of combat Aircraft... and we are nottrying to blow eachother up ;-). The one thing about mixing up the fighters though is that everyone will need to DL the exact same airplane. Not to big a deal I would think but it would be imperitive that we all had the same files, and the ones I know we all have for sure are like the F-4C, F-100, F-105 and the F-8. But I would love to fly up some Tomcats too and if you get that JSF done.... that could be fun too. I guess it depends on the group we get. Seems to be some good guys so far though. we all have MSN?

I got MSN. it will take a while to download everybody's version and assort them into one big file so that everyone can play. Do you have ICQ? It's much better with bigger downloads.

copy and rename your woe.exe to wov.exe then point hyperlobby to it shift+ctrl when starting hyper lobby just use the renamed exe

Posted

ok do you have a firewall on?

next do you have a router on

does your woe run fine and is it stock?

try double clicking the new wov.exe in your woe folder

if it runs that is not the prob

next

check your hyper lobby make sure it is pointed at your fixed woe exe

try this like it is the same for fe as woe
