Crash to destop when click on fly

Hi. I am havingmajor probs with all my thirdwire installs. At first I was getting the microsoft error regarding 2 dll files-d3d9.dll and ntl.dll or similar. I dwlded those 2 from a dll site, put them into my windows/system folder and now when i start any of these sims, I clikc on fly and it completely crashes to desktop. ie ven took them out of the folder and same thing. can anyone help me? i followed the combatace forum knowledge base regarding the dll file and now i cant fly any othem. thanks.

Ps, I have the latest direct x patches and game patches as well. It was working fine this morning, all idid was chg or play with those dll's. i copied over the d3d9 dll to windows/system 32 and overwrote the one there so i dont know if its that. They were the same size though.

you'd better reinstall Direct X

go to Microsoft's website and get the latest April 07 edition...

don't try to copy DLL files individually, not a good idea ;)

Yeah, I ignored the people endorsing the 'dll cherry-pick' and haven't had a single problem with game crashes.

Hi guys. i checked dxdiag and it says I have direct x 9.0c and I went and reinstalled over the old one that I have. Am i not installing it correctly? Do you need to uninstall direct x or just copy over? Here sia copy of my dxdiag:

BTW: I tried cfs 2 and 3 and they run without this prob, just thirdwire games like FE, WOV, WOE etc.
