simonj Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Hi All, Pretty much a LOMAC flyer but one plane that is of interest to me is the F5 family. Very much a newbie I have Wings Over Europe (cold war gone hot) for a while. I loaded it about 6 months ago, it was a bit glitchy so I never followed up. Busy with LOMAC and the IL2 family Now, having been told that there was a downloadable F5 for WoE, I have re-installed the WoE and downloaded some of the F5 files from here. Whats next? Quote
+MigBuster Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 So I assume you downloaded something from here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...amp;showcat=134 If there is no readme - then basically extract the files (you may need WinRar) to a single folder on your desktop. Find the main planes folder - called something like F-5E and copy and paste to: C:\......\Wings Over Europe\Objects\Aircraft so it sits along side the other planes in your game. The plane is now installed - if you have weapons/tanks to install then there is a nice article on page 2 of the knowledge base: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showforum=99 The weapons editor and latest file extractor can be downloaded from this site. simonj Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 OK-Downloaded, Unzipped and Got them into that file When I open WoE I dont get the option to choose the F-5? Do I need to go at that another way or will I need to get WoV or SFP1 to utilise these files? Quote
+NeverEnough Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 After looking at the link CoolHand gave you, those files might be skins only rather than complete aircraft models. The F-5A, F-5C, and F-5E Mirage Factory models are available for download at column5.us/aircraft2.shtml. They are complete aircraft packages WITH auto-installers. The auto-installer makes it an almost impossible to go wrong deal! Quote
simonj Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 OK, will try that, but have a feeling it wont work with WoE, only SFP1 or WoV I will try to do it with the guides suggested, but I was never one much for book learning me Quote
+JediMaster Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 You may have to manually specify which directory to put it in if it defaults to SFP1 or WoV, but that's all. Quote
Guest Sony Tuckson Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Mirage Factory products work fine under WoE as suggested, when installing, just give the path to your WoE installation. To enjoy an added plane, you can create a single mission (and remember as such it can't be saved and replayed), and then choosing the plane, or create a mission with one of the several mission creators made avbl and then load this mission (*.msn file) Quote
