After a bit, I've decided to try and redo the "default" skin that comes with the Team KBT F/A-18F Super Hornet

Nah man, haven't heard squat. I think he's bogged down, so it's best to wait. Though this thing gets you kinda hooked. For some real fun, take it in Norway, the Alps, and the Caucauscus... I'm going to try Afghanistan sometime but right now I'm finishing up traversing the Alps..

Some more stuff. Been busy with RL and other stuff, so it's slowly being worked on. I plan to "reset" some of the weathering (which I have already), but the main annoyance is the area on the upper nose. Whether that pans out I'm not sure, but I'm not too thrilled about it myself.

If there's one thing I'll hate, is that efficiency was lost on the mapping. I'm trying for a currently deployed skin, so naturally, dirt and all that crap is supposed to be on it, but after an hour and a half, this is what I settled on for the nose area. The FM, modelling is of course great, but this is where it falls short, review enroute:

It's getting to the point where I'm finding little else to add, other than some notable fixes I need to do. So unless somebody has a burning request, within a couple days (or tonight really) I'm going to upload the file.

THanks, but the modelling yes, is great, and I haven't found a good third party virtual cockpit that outstrips this one yet...

 

However, the main thing that's really annoyed me is the mapping. It's not as efficient as I would prefer, and still room for improvement, but hopefully in the future I can do something about that..

 

 

 

 

Looks like I have to reposition the texture lights, as you can see that it's off. That's what I get for turning off when the sim starts

I had hoped to finish it yesterday, but I had a PT test and I was pretty much smoked so I did some small stuff anyways. I figure by Friday I can upload it and release it. Still a few more touchups to go and I can move on..
