Today marks 1 Year since "The Second Lebanon War" began!

wether you remember or not, 1 year ago began the conflict (later became known as War)

between Israel and Hizbollah after a vicious attack on 2 Hammers potroling the Border

using Katyusha rocket to divert attention from

 

One of the hammers hit by hizbollah (sadley enought using Israeli weapons left during the retreat in 2000)

in the attack 3 soldiers were killed 2 were kidnapped

that day 8 soldiers were killed, 3 in the attack

4 inside a tank that went over a large IED

1 by a sniper while trying to retrieve the bodies of his friends in the tank

this is not the first time Israeli soldiers were kidnapped

Ron Arad 21 long years still unknown his whereabouts

he was taken after he had to eject his F4E Phantom over Lebanon!

3 Soldiers: Benny Avraham, Adi Avitan, Omar Sawaid in October 2000

and more over the years killed and murdered by Terrorist!

 

 

Let's hope for their safe return as well as the return of Cpl Gilad Shalit!!

Let's hope for ending of all Wars and hostility among men!

The thing that strikes me about the futility of war is the failure to understand the other side's similarities and differences. Everyone always seems to think that by attacking they will make the people pressure their gov'ts into whatever they want...yet history has shown people will band together against an outside attacker.

At the same time, if the identical tactics are used AGAINST them, they claim "we won't surrender!" Um, hello? Why do these people think that blowing things up at random here and there is going to bring about some massive worldwide change?
