knightryderrwn 0 Posted June 14, 2003 Ok....I've been playing USAF w/SuperPro for awhile now, and can't get three things changed - 1) Would like to enable my joystick 2) Would like to enter my own callsign 3) Would like to set my own graphics resolutions in game I heard about a utility called "DME" that would help set those options, but I can't remember where it is, or how to use it. Any help would be appreciated.
SDirickson 0 Posted June 14, 2003 I think it is in the root USAF directory. Might try just searching for it in USAF. Didn't know it could change all that though, might wanna try it myself.
knightryderrwn 0 Posted June 14, 2003 Sdirickson, Looked in the main USAF directory, don't find it. :( I found a utility called "UME" in the missions subdirectory, but that's not what I'm looking for. :x Update: 2309 hrs: It turns out the UME actually holds the DME util - you have to change the execute line in the shortcut to read: "C:Program FilesJane's Combat SimulationsUsafResourceMissionsUME.exe" /DME O.K., so I found it again, but I still don't have the vaguest idea how to use it!

laketrout195th 0 Posted July 5, 2003 Adding the DME Utility to USAF There has been a lot of confusion about how to access the DME or Developer Mission Editor. As I understand it, this utility was never supposed to be available to the gamer. One of the former employees of Pixel revealed its existence on one of the forums. It's an overwhelming sight when it is first viewed. A few have become quite proficient with it. Basically it is the Admin.ini. Everything that you change in the DME will change the admin.ini in the Mission folder. I'm not here to offer instructions on how to use it, there is no manual or Help files for it. I am still struggling with it myself. Below I have graphically outlined the steps to gain access to it. 1. Go to your Missions folder and find the UME.exe. 2. Make a shortcut of it on your desktop. 3. Right click on the new UME icon and then click on Properties. 4. Follow the instructions below This is what will greet you when you first open the DME. Good Luck I also have missions SP9 on our site, the SP9.2 will not work for you,and I also have info on how to make a new pilot and how to change the preferences.
