Hmm, could be becasue those planes are higher-poly than the stock planes.

This has helped some people:

Extract FLIGHTENGINE.INI from the FLIGHTDATA.CAT (its in the FLIGHT folder).

Look for the following section:

[GraphicsSettings]

ZBufferDepth=24

MaxVertexCount=8192

MaxIndexCount=12288

MaxTextureCount=4096

MaxModelType=1024

MaxMeshPerScene=1024

MaxModelPerScene=1024

MaxLightPerScene=256

AspectRatio=1.333333

MinPixelSize=1.0

And change it to look like this:

[GraphicsSettings]

ZBufferDepth=24

MaxVertexCount=16384

MaxIndexCount=32768

MaxTextureCount=8192

MaxModelType=2048

MaxMeshPerScene=4096

MaxModelPerScene=4096

MaxLightPerScene=256

AspectRatio=1.333333

MinPixelSize=1.0

let us know how it works...

Also try to change the sound in the data.ini to this

[sound]

WindSoundName=windloop

StallSoundName=

EngineSoundName=JetEngine

AfterburnerSoundName=JetBurner

DamagedEngineSound=

FlapsSoundName=Flaps

AirbrakesSoundName=Airbrakes

GearsSound=Gear

It cured my CTD's on all those aircraft.

Just a smort-arse note, the USN never cottoned to the F-111, so there was only 1 "B" model ever made.

Poor, sad little nosed rascal sat gathering dust a lot of years at McClellan AFB in CA.

Just file this under worthless trivia, and press on.

Hope these gentlemen's tips helped...

Thank you'll gentlemen.thank you very much.

And well I intended no historical reference, just the Tf30 engines that were common to both airplanes. But that was enlightning. I love both aircraft, having read Chains of Command and Thunder Station.
