+Dave 2,322 Posted July 1, 2008 I took my kids to the end of the runway where my unit's C-5's were doing training. It damn near flew right over us. It was loud and my 4 yr old twin girls just loved it. I thought for sure it was going to scare thm. It didn't. My boys thought it was cool too and they thought the girls were going to cry too. I can still recall my experience with my dad at many air shows and on base when his squad practiced or flew by. The first time I saw an F-4 and it has been love ever since! I know what you meen about the F-4, they got a certain howl to them thats unique, my all time favorite, and Dave,totally cool that the kids loved the "flyover" plus that museum, thats a great place. Hey, what's the avrocar doing there? we consider it a miserable faliure and a disgrace to the once-proud Canadian Avro Company, builders of the magnificent CF-105 Arrow and what should have been the world's first airliner, the Avro Jetliner.
