+Dave Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I took my kids to the end of the runway where my unit's C-5's were doing training. It damn near flew right over us. It was loud and my 4 yr old twin girls just loved it. I thought for sure it was going to scare thm. It didn't. My boys thought it was cool too and they thought the girls were going to cry too. But as it turned out, they loved the whole thing. Earlier in the day we all went to the USAF Museum and they had this.
Viper6 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Great stuff My friend! I'm happy that your 'little squad' loved the planes and the whole experience. I can still recall my experience with my dad at many air shows and on base when his squad practiced or flew by. The first time I saw an F-4 and it has been love ever since!
+Dave Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 The squad in action....I am the fire team leader of course.
FalconC45 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Yep. Heard them today over my house. One point I thought for sure one wanted to land on the roof LOL. Sorry I didn't see you at the Tattoo. Falcon
Viper6 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 The 'Squad' looks ready for action! Is that a volunteer with hand raised? Lets move out team!
Silverbolt Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Good Stuff! the last of the right really looks like you btw, what about undiscipline in your platoon?
ONETINSOLDIER Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 The first time I saw an F-4 and it has been love ever since! EEGADS! I know what you meen about the F-4, they got a certain howl to them thats unique, my all time favorite, and Dave, totally cool that the kids loved the "flyover" plus that museum, thats a great place. Isnt that where the aliens are kept in the freezer?
Rambler 1-1 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Isnt that where the aliens are kept in the freezer? naw, that's at Disney land under the pirates of the caribbean ride. Hey, what's the avrocar doing there? we consider it a miserable faliure and a disgrace to the once-proud Canadian Avro Company, builders of the magnificent CF-105 Arrow and what should have been the world's first airliner, the Avro Jetliner. Also, how come you eastereners get all the nice museums?
