+Muesli Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 (edited) Hey all, after a well deserved vacation I have been brainfarting about changing, updating, adjusting, replacing the pack in which decals and nations.ini are a bit more correct and up to date. For this I need a bit of knowledge, and I have questions: -Is every number in "[nationxxx]" in the nations.ini identical to the decal it is pointing to? Example; [nation044]'s decal being INSIGNIA044? -Is there a way to change decal with the years, or do I have to create a new nationnumber? Example: post Warsaw-Pact decals after 1992. (You know, red star types replaced with more current types...) I think I have most decals ready to be converted to tga, and appropriate timelines, hope you can help me fill in the blanks or give directions. Cheers! Muesli PS: the basic number sequence will NOT be changed to avoid conflicts! Edited September 17, 2008 by muesli Quote
Stick Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 WOI incorporates different decals for different years. For example [Nation032] Name=Syria DisplayName=Syrian Air Force Alignment=ENEMY PilotNameList=NamesArabic.lst RankList=RanksRAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=SovietFighter Formation.Attack=SovietFighter Formation.Bomber=SovietBomber Formation.Transport=SovietBomber Formation.Tank=SovietTank Formation.MobileAD=SovietAD PilotTrainingStandard=POOR GenderRatio=0 ActiveDate=1980 AlternateDecal=Syria_OLD74 However this is not the case for Soviet/Russian aircraft, probably because that time period was not within TK's focus for WOI. +Muesli Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 Thanks Stick! If you all give me the time (two weeks!!!!) I will cough up a nice pack with a lot of "new" and "old" nations. Cheers! Quote
+Muesli Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 If there are nations or roundels missing, please tell me! I want to add a few (old and new ones), like Abchazia, Dahomey (now Benin), Chechnya, civil war Bosnia, Georgia (alternative), Albanian star (alternative), Algerian roundel with "wings", newest Hong Kong, newest Iraqi roundel (!), Indonesian Army and Navy, Katanga (yep!), Lesotho, Liberia, and a few prequels/sequels/variations on existing roundels. Ciao! Quote

Stick Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Looking Forward to Russia. That way we can have a modern WOE campaign-after the upcoming patch would perhaps be more reflective of the skill level of the Russian Air Force. Quote

Dear friend! Could you reply if the decals for such nations in WoE 1) Montenegro - roundel and flag (Insignia and finflash) 2) Bosnia - flag only 3) Belarus - star (the same of soviet star so no need in the same) and flag 4) Tajikistan - star (insignia) - same as soviet but of green color inside 5) Kyrgyzstan - roundel Are available for WoE??? I downloaded these roundels, stars and flags from air force wikipedia but failed to correctly use hem in the game. The white contour of them covers the whole fuselage, wings or vertails. I failed to amanage this using photoshop and do not understand what is the problem??? Many thanks!!! Quote
