ziker Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I've just upgraded to: Intel Q9400 Geforece 9800GTX+ 4GB DDR 2 1066 Baracuda HD with 32MB cash I'm still having a bit of trouble running WOI at High let alone Unlimited settings. When I deisplay FPS I get two readings, Graphics and Game. On my old system there wasn't that much difference between them, but now I can be at 50 on the Game reading and 15 on the Graphics reading. What's the difference between these two readings? Quote
Spinners Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I suppose it means the number of FPS the game is trying to deliver and the number of FPS the graphics card is actually delivering. Quote
+gerwin Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I suppose it means the number of FPS the game is trying to deliver and the number of FPS the graphics card is actually delivering. could also be the amount of cycles concerning game logic (not graphics), where it calculates things as movement and interaction of objects etc. just guessing Quote
ziker Posted September 20, 2008 Author Posted September 20, 2008 OK, by lowering the amount of ground objects to medium I was able to bring the game back to reasonable FPS. I expected to be able to play on at least on high settings with my new rig. especially since I play at 1024x768. The 9800GTX+ should be able to handle just about anything at that resolution. Quote
