+ghostrider883 526 Posted October 1, 2008 Great pics lindr2. Is this museum outside Dabolim NAS? That Alize looks in very good condition. That;s one ac/ I would love to see in TW series.
JediMaster 451 Posted October 2, 2008 Interesting, I've never seen an airplane on outdoor display with its gear retracted to appear "in flight". Only hanging from ceilings in large indoor museums. A nice touch!

A nice touch! really? I think every "plane on a stick" I've seen is with the gear retracted. Certainly around here that's the case.
JediMaster 451 Posted October 2, 2008 Oh, ok, "gate guards" have their gear retracted, yes. I'm not talking about them, though, I mean more museum-style displays like that SHar.

Only hanging from ceilings in large indoor museums. A nice touch! that Sea Harrier FRS.51 Srl No. 621 had a bad landing and its landing gear & some systems got damaged beyond repair. Hence the airframe was put on display.
JediMaster 451 Posted October 7, 2008 Ah, well that's an interesting way to display it then without having to repair or display busted landing gear.
