A-6A DIANE bombing system

Yeah right - dream on - this is actually just a CCIP sight to allow you some form of level bombing and relive those FOTI days

Basic CCIP for A-6A to simulate a DIANE level bombing system.

For Stock A-6A WOV (Version September 2008) only tested on Hard Avionics

See the instructions file

Issues:

1. No Terrain Avoidance Radar mode with new avionics

2. Unguided rockets uses the same CCIP sight - its an in game thing so you will just have to ignore it

Its useless for targetting anyway.

Always missed this feature, so I will put this to good use. Thank you!

PS: I prefered the yellow/orange HUD color, and adjusted it like this:

A-6A_AVIONICS.INI: HUDColor=1.0,0.85,0.5,1.0

A-6A_SIGHT.TGA: fill with rgb 230,159,92

Is there any way to make Terrain Avoidance Radar work?

The sim does not truly model TFR.

What you are seeing is TA radar.

Ground radar has been fixed in Avionics70 with the Oct08 patch. The best way to figure out how to add it to the A-6 is to see into the Su-24 data, avionics and cockpit inis to see what is different and then cut and paste.

What would it take to modify this for other bombers who had similarly advanced targeting radars or sighting systems that the game does not cover, such as the F-111, A-3/B-66, B-52, A-7 etc... ?
