Just one more terrain question

Recommended Posts

How do you fix an airfield so that it does not slowly dissappear as you fly away from it, by this I mean that if you are even just 1.5 miles away the runway and tarmac slowly seem to just shrink in length. Is this a graphics issue?

Thanks

Thats normal. Set "max view distance" (at least thats what i think its called) to something higer.

What warthog describes sounds like airfield sinking into terrain.

No, you only get that close up, with an unflattend airfield zone.

What he's describing is the standard "pops into (or out of view) with distance" that's always been in these games.

You could try setting the max visible distance = line in the various terrains's types inis to something higher, like 50-70000 (they're alrady maxed at ~30000) and don't forget to pull the Airfieldx.ini, and adjust the lods visible distances.

Or, do just do like the rest of us, and live with it.
