Night only ground objects?

Recommended Posts

Are the ground objets possible to appear only during night time?

Aircrafts have in their _data.ini files AircraftCapability= which can be set to AircraftCapability=NIGHT_ONLY, can the same be applied to for example Flak units?

Anyone tried? I could have some use of it.

As far as I know, they just show up all the time. I've never seen a selectable capabality like that in any GO, stock or 3rdparty

Wonder how that'll effect your searchlights...will the beam show up daylight? (just had a thought...apply a search/trak radar to it....what a nasty thought!)

I don't think the ground object dlls (?) have that. Fubar would probably know -- he's been taking them 'apart' since day one!

Why couldn't we just rename the flak unit for night and leave stock for day?

Unfortunately the .dlls have no references or clues hidden inside

this is a bit of a showstopper, the searchlights and flares would show all day long...

BUT I'm thinking about making eirther all aircrafts night only or custom environmentsystem.dll, with permanent dusk/dawn during day... There still are some possibilities for making nachtjager install

The searchlights have NightSight=TRUE and DataLink=TRUE already  trying other _data.ini features

EDIT:

Maybe, I say maybe -tweaking the given object's data.ini would at least prevent it from engaging targets during daytime. Like negative values for Weapons systems or so
