+lindr2 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 need some Fm help..Bird over runs the end of runway before taking to the air In real life during takeoff, the hydraulic jack sharply thrusted a forward wheel downwards, it sprung, the airplane nose get up and plane can takeoff... Do You accept my engine & guns ini entries? Quote

+lindr2 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 yes, added them already thank you about takeoff Probably need to correct climb/stall speed... Also try decrease drag coeff... 4xAM-3 is powerful combination... i have most same problem at my Tu-4 pack (Tu-4, Tu-4A, Tu-4K, Tu-4R, H-4, H-4A, KJ-1, new ini for b-29 & b-29B & Washington) I get takeof whitout problem, but my wingmans takeoff, then after 5-10 sec of flight start going down... All other planes takeoff whitout problem. Quote
JediMaster Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Before they built the An-225, a Bison was used to carry the Buran orbiter around. It looked just as tiny on its back as on the 225! A far cry from the way the STS orbiters look on a 747. Of course, as was typical with NATO, they believed the Bison to be the major threat because it was jet-powered and appeared to have intercontinental range. They totally dismissed the Bear. It took many years for them to realize they'd been looking in the wrong place. Quote
+Veltro2k Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 about takeoff Probably need to correct climb/stall speed... Also try decrease drag coeff... ok how do i do this ? Quote

+Veltro2k Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 Just a friendly bump still trying to figure out how to get the plane off the ground before the end of the runway on auto takeoff Quote
Atreides Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 still trying to figure out how to get the plane off the ground before the end of the runway on auto takeoff With enough thrust plane you fly. Da ? Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I think it`s not the thrust, more the lift of the wings, something similar like the Tu-95 Quote
+lindr2 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 (edited) ;-) I tested this ini with Tu-16 model/ Plane NORMALLY take off on manual mode. In auto pilot mode - No. And other [AI] planes exploded on runway. look's like problem in plane position {negative altitude, gears below runway level, AI will explode, but pilot plane model visually lifted, but CG is so below} Edited February 28, 2009 by lindr2 Quote

+lindr2 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 this is the fuselage position in 3D MAX 0.0,0.001,0.0 I now, but how about wingmans? You test them on runway? They placed OK? Quote

+lindr2 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 (edited) wingman are ok You tried to takeoff in human control mode? What takeoff speed, 250-300 kmph? if you can takeoff then aero coeff is correct. Ok next test: on runway press B key, i watched 'You cannot use whell brakes while airborne' with you ini. if yes - all clear. you cannot takeoff because you in the air. check again gears & plane extend points.
