EricJ Posted October 6, 2019 Author Posted October 6, 2019 Found this oddity in my skin selection for the Block I Super Hornet. It's pretty much done, as the original PSD is lost so I'll upload this skin as well. 6 2
EricJ Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 VFA-122 WIP. I may not include a modex (may stick with the 100 series just to have something) but it's how it is so far: For some reason I'm not getting any play with the LODViewer so I'll stick to screenshots for now.
EricJ Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 Decided to go with the 100 series modex for now, and finishing touches, and will do an E version as well. 1
EricJ Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 As well as NJ100 as another one I didn't complete for some reason. 2
EricJ Posted October 9, 2019 Author Posted October 9, 2019 And next up is a VFA-115 early skin, on their first deployment.
EricJ Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 Working on another Hornet skin, this time a VFA-37 CAG bird in 2008: 3
EricJ Posted October 12, 2019 Author Posted October 12, 2019 Decided to work on a VFA-87 bird, this time in 2007 during that timeframe: 1
JosefK Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Any chance you could please do these tails from Miramar Airshow 2019 of the Vikings (F/A-18D) and Red Devils (F/A-18C): Thanks! I will have at least one more request but am downloading photos from a small warbird event today as I type...
EricJ Posted October 13, 2019 Author Posted October 13, 2019 Started with the Red Tail VMFA-232 CO bird. The W on the right side is off, as the tail area is too small but otherwise correct I guess. 1
EricJ Posted October 13, 2019 Author Posted October 13, 2019 And the D model. I took the liberty of using the previous skin to help expedite this skin, but should be okay since gradients don't work well with lettering. Since I didn't have a good right side shot I also guessed that it'll look okay the way it is. 1
EricJ Posted October 13, 2019 Author Posted October 13, 2019 More work, fading stuff so it generally matches the photo 2 1
EricJ Posted October 14, 2019 Author Posted October 14, 2019 (edited) Well here's a first look at them as I can't think of anything else to do. VMFA-225 can be found under VMFA (AW)-225 2019, and the VMFA-232 Red Tail can be found under VMFA-232 'Red Devils' CO VMFA225Ver2.7z VMFA-232_Red_Tail.7z Edited October 14, 2019 by EricJ 1
EricJ Posted October 16, 2019 Author Posted October 16, 2019 Got inspired to do a VMFA-232 F/A-18E as a What if skin. 1
daddyairplanes Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 keep it up and you'll be able to make a modern SF2 version of this 1
