Beer 0 Posted November 24, 2003 Got my copy of Flight Deck FINALLY from Amazon, ordered it Mid October (so don't order it and expect it by Xmas from Amazon!!). I really want to do a review of this but it showed up the day before I leave for work. Anyway here is a short E-2C landing Video (its not pretty, but it caught a wire). 7 Meg; 1 minute video (right click save Target) Sorry did not record the audio :( http://www.retrorelics.net/jim/FilesDL/E-2CTrap.wmv The box set and the instructions are pretty generic, the install routine has the option for install for FS 2002 or FS 2004, which is nice, your not wondering if your running the 2002 version with 2004. I have not had a lot of time with it yet, but the plane skins could be a bit better for the E-2C (it may be my resolution? The star and Bars just don't look right), but it is enjoyable to trap on something that looks pretty good :) With the exception of the issues I noted on the last screenie, the textures are most excellent! The ball is visible, but is lost in this screenshot do to resizing for posting You can see some texture issues with the flags here. Also not sure but the top deck looks tranparent (no over head) Here are some additional F-18 Pics from my last session, this was post landing. switch 0 Posted November 25, 2003 Cool video, although remember - no diving for the deck! I never really had a chance to check out the Flight Deck addition to the MSFS. I think I`ll give it a shot some day. Now I`m too absorbed with Lo-Mac.

navychief 1 Posted November 25, 2003 Hey Beer! I noticed that the color of the sea in my FD3 surroundings are much lighter. Any tips on how to fix mine?
Beer 0 Posted November 25, 2003 That sea texture is a mod http://www.flightsim.no/file/FS2002_-_Scenery/Texturer/ there are couple of them out and I have tried a few to be honest I am not sure which one is currently installed. The Virtual Pits are not that grand This is a better one its the F-18 Of course this is the Cockpit view (not Virtual)...Pretty messed up eh? I have not had time to try the Freeware addons, IMHO some of the Freeware are better than these payware models. All in all for $ 29.99 I will get my moneys worth though. MCG_Rattlesnake 0 Posted December 14, 2003 Hmmm....I really don't agree with the whole "money's worth" thing. I do not give Abacus propps for trying. I give freeware authors that. If Abacus is going to charge, then their products should be far better than the communities' efforts.
