orsin Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) I have noticed an unwanted roll occurs to Mig31BM/Mig31M when playing them under hard mode. Either loaded with weapons or not, it slowly rolls to the right whenever you release the joystick (and it is not a joystick problem). it acts just like what we had before on the first release of Mirage 2000D, so I believe it has something to do with the FM. I have spent some time comparing the left and right wings and control surfaces and I didn;t find any dissymmetric definition. I have noticed the centre of gravity has been placed at x=0 position, so it does not assiciate with that as well. Can anyone who fixed the same kind before give me some advise? which parameters are missing? if you need mig31M data file, download from the attachment. Edited February 8, 2009 by orsin Quote
razgriz31m Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 maybe your loadout is not the same on each wing? or just fly in normal mode Quote
+p10ppy Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) both the vert tails are set to the same min/max extents (and their related fuel tanks) not sure that the min/max extents will effect the FM (will affect the DM tho) but the fuel load may... the other slightly weird thing is all the control surfaces are set to RotationAxis=X-Axis...guess they must have rolled the pivots in MAX? Edit: actually the tanks probably wont matter to the FM they are both set on the centre line.... Edited February 8, 2009 by p10ppy Quote
+FastCargo Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Check this post: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...mp;#entry235031 I had the same exact problem with the F-107...took me FOREVER to figure out the issue. The bad news is, it can only be corrected in MAX. FC Quote
orsin Posted February 8, 2009 Author Posted February 8, 2009 maybe your loadout is not the same on each wing? or just fly in normal mode same loadout. when there's no loadout this is not obvious, when there is even a small missile can cause this problem Quote

+FastCargo Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 CG is mostly for ground handling. Also, it can have adverse effects when you start pulling Gs. The absolute best way to fix it is in MAX, or fly it in Normal mode. Anything else (moving CG, adding 'weight' to one side, etc), will only be a band aid and will only work in one particular phase of flight (ie if it works while straight and level, it won't work once you start adding G). Guest HoneyFox Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 This problem has been solved by me. two of the wep stations used incorrect model nodes. and that is the reason. both ecm stations used the same model nodes. and such problem exists in one of the wing wep station of mig31m. Quote
+Wrench Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 How about posting the fix, so others can have it??? wrench kevin stein Quote

Guest HoneyFox Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 (edited) it has also been modified by orsin for the engine parts. he has adjusted the engines so now the mig-31m can fly fast in high altitude. and missile stations' sequence has been adjusted so that mig31m will fire its LRMs first. but i can't find the "upload" or "add attachment" button... edit: ah... found it! must use full editor mode...
