PG_Raptor Posted December 2, 2003 Posted December 2, 2003 (edited) What will you be doing on December 17? I wish I had enough hours to do charity flying at our local airport, or maybe I could go to an airshow... but... Oh well, I'll be out the airport all afternoon, most likely. Maybe take up some friends, have a blast hanging out with some other pilots. Seems like a sad way to spend such a glorious day! Oh, and by the way, I got my permanent license in the mail yesterday! Woohoo! So what will you be doing? EDIT: Oops, didn't mean to put in the 12th, hehe Edited December 3, 2003 by PG_Raptor Quote
CowboyTodd41 Posted December 2, 2003 Posted December 2, 2003 Oh hell ya dude, I'm gonna be at Johnson County Executive (KOJC) All day hopefully flying. If not I'll just chill then play some FB and SF oh ya, it'll be great! Quote
navychief Posted December 2, 2003 Posted December 2, 2003 My wife and I will be at the "birthplace" of Naval Aviation: Pensacola, Florida, from the 8th to the 12th of December. We plan to spend a lot of time at the Museum of Naval Aviation, and a visit to the USS Alabama at Mobile. I will be taking a lot of digital pictures, so you can count on seeing them shortly after we get home. The United States Navy. Best canoe club around! GO NAVY! Navy Chief Quote
snapple2993 Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 (edited) The Nav Air museum? I was just there on the 8th of November... the Gutless, Buttless, Cutlass was an interesting plane to learn about. :D ... I wish I woulda bought a navair t-shirt when I was there . As for the Alabama, be sure to check out that WWII sub they got there too... or atleast it was there the last time I went through Mobile (6-7 yrs ago). The Bama memorial is definatly a cool place to visit, got a bunch of planes there too. As for the 12th, I have no idea what I'll be doing, maybe I'll have LOMAC by then, thats how I'll celebrate. :P Edited December 3, 2003 by snapple2993 Quote
tc223 Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 Naval Air Museum, is that the one by/at Corey NAS? I visited there with my Boy Scout troop when the Angels flew the A-4s (grin) I didn't really just admit that.. Quote
navychief Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 Hey TC223 The museum is actually on NAS Pensacola, but Corry Station is very close by. I was a Advancement Exam writer for the AME rating from 1990 to 1993, and lived part of that time period onboard NAS, and at Corry. Nice area. If it didn't cost so much to move these days, I might consider moving back to Pensacola. Navy Chief Quote
