Since 1.28, I've been the flight leader in three different squadrons, british and German (I have three pilots set up) even though I'm junior in rank and I have by rank selected in workshop. Has anyone else noticed this?

To top it off, I was leadin a flight of DH2's when the blighters went off course and all headed west, towards the ocean. I flew among them and kept hitting the R key but they disobeyed my orders. I guess now we need military reprimand forms along with our claim forms. I've got three pilots to bring up on charges. Even if they're of superior rank.

Hmm.. Some time ago ( 1.28 ) I was leading pair of DH2's towards enemy lines. I warped and ended north of Holland over sea. I warped again and was over home field after sunset. Flight time was only about 60 mins.

You will always be the flight leader if it is a ground attack mission. Otherwise you should be a follower with 'lead by rank' selected in the workshop. If that's not happening then something seems screwy. I have not seen any such problems on my setup.

Thanks for the info, I hadn't realized that. I do believe the missions I'd been leading were ground target strikes.
