I've got a new system today and i was hoping to be able to play strike fighters with better graphical detail on but i'm getting the same fps as my old system. My new one is a Intel Q8200 quad core, 3gb Ram machine with a Nvidia 9600GT. What am I doing wrong, should I disable and core? if so how do I do it? Also im running vista home premium. Please help!!!

hmm - are you running using the highest graphics settings?

assuming the PCs in a good state - then Im not sure - but I think the games dont utilise Multicore processors yet.

You playing SF: P1 with the latest patch?

I'm trying to run it on high settings yes but i'm guessing I'm going to have to scale them down. I'm running the lastest update and i'm aiming for a res of 1680X1050 which is my native res for my monitor. Which are the setting that most effect frame rate?

Adjust each setting at a time and see what you get in both areas were there are a lot of objects and were there are a few.
