It happens in all TW titles (depending on the 'pit), and there is no solution.

Even CCIP goes beyond the HUD.

 

I'm not too bothered.

1) It's just a game.

2) As for the CCIP, it makes it more easier (fun) to do level bombing.

 

But wouldn't mind if the view gets restricted in the future.

I'm fine with it, but maybe an option to turn it off (restrict movement to the HUD borders) would be nice?
