Olham Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 (edited) When Jasta 12 moved in to Roucourt castle, this picture was taken and appeared in newspapers. Second from the right: my ancestor, Gunther Ritter von Mahlow! Unbelieveable! To be honest - we are still in May 1917, and still in Epinoy. And I haven't made 9 kills yet either. But I'm looking forward to this castle - you should see the dining room! And they should have a very well sorted wine cellar, I suppose. [it's big fun to mess with photographs from now and then.] Edited July 12, 2009 by Olham Quote
RAF_Louvert Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 OK, now that's neat Olham. I rather like the deer-in-the-headlights look on your "ancestor's" face. Cheers! Lou Quote
Hauksbee Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 OK, now that's neat Olham. I rather like the deer-in-the-headlights look on your "ancestor's" face. Probably just saw his first Sopwith Tripe! Quote

Olham Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 Haha!! That's my "be on the watch" look - after soem time as a fighter pilot, you expect Tripes or Nupes everywhere - even from the next room! Lol! Quote

Olham Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 Pilots have certain freedoms, Herr Prop-Wasche. Should have, with a life expectancy of 17 hours... Quote
