+Wrench Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 What readme??? There's no instructions worth anything in there Could you EXPLAIN exactly WHAT your trying to do here??? What is this mod supposed to accomplish??? Why would anyone want to replace their higher-rez skins with these really old lo rez versions??? Those are no better than the 05 verisons found in the original SF. Give us an understanding here as to what you're trying to do, please. Otherwise....???? You're leaving a lot of folks a bit on the confused side. wrench kevin stein Quote
Aintry Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Yeah, what's the difference between your plane and the very nice one that's already available? Quote

+FastCargo Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Unapproved. Lobo12, if you cannot be bothered to provide a simple readme explaining exactly what this is supposed to provide the end user, do not bother uploading anything. FC Quote

Instead of criticizing, why not be constructive and ask the webmaster to implement a form to be filled in by the uploader ? The form could contain all fields to have a complete description and requirements of the mod. I am sure it will not be a big task to be implemented by the Webmaster and this will avoid conflicts and misunderstandings in the future. This is just a suggestion to improve things... ansons2 Quote

Like Wrench said, this "mod" is, from what i see, a collection of older, not to say outdated files. If it is his personal favourite enjoyment in this mix, that´s Ok. But imagine what would happen, if all guys over here load up their personal modded favourite aircrafts! It would be the biggest mess in the web and bandwith would only be second highest on the world, just behind porn sites! Joke aside, if he has a good explanation, what this is and answers here, i´m sure the guys approve it without words! Quote
+FastCargo Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 AmokFloo is exactly correct. We don't necessarily need a super detailed readme (though there are some very nice examples on this site). I can understand why folks where English is not a primary language would find it difficult to make one. However, even a simple readme explaining exactly what the person was trying to accomplish would have been helpful. Files like this actually generate MORE problems then they solve...and is especially aggravating when A) the upload text says to read the readme and the readme contains NOTHING useful and B) the files uploaded will actually 'break' a person's install and cause problems and frustrations - especially for someone who may be new to ThirdWire sims. No one here wants to be the mod police. We want folks to upload their mods...but even simple ones that correct the spelling of a town in the GermanyCE terrain have a readme or at least an explanation of what is trying to be accomplished in the mod description. If you are going to take the time to mod something and upload it here, then you have the time to provide at least a basic readme. FC Quote
