FalconC45 162 Posted July 26, 2009 I SHOT MY RIFLE TODAY! I thought I would have problems of using the rear sight but I didn't thanks to the eye patch my mother bought me. I can't wink my left eye close so that's why I used a eye patch. First target was ok. Was trying to remember the stick control for left/right. The company wired them in reverse which I hated. Once I could get good groups my step-father put up another paper plate target on the "head" of the body shellito target. My first shot was low (throat shot) but my second shot was dead center. so I kept that position with little adjustments after few shots because of the recoil moved the rifle mount a bit. I shot my SA Stag handled 45 too. I had difficult time in getting the right sight picture. Mainly because the "rear sight" was a v groove but outta 5 shots, 4 hit the plate, last 2 were close to center though. I have to practice on my revolver me thinks. But the RR was really fun to shoot. Easy to read the sight picture and the recoil didn't really shook my chair much. A little bit but not a whole lot, its like watching footage of M1 Abrams at the tank range, you'll see the body frame go back a bit. My mother took a vid of me shooting. Once she d/l it from the camera, I'll try to u/l it here if its small enough in file size. I'll take pics of my targets too and put them in here as well or in a blog.
