Went to Make a Quick Video Of the Cannon Noises

Recommended Posts

Here is a short WMV of the new cannon noises I mentioned in my previous post, (and have now been set straight on by Pol as to turning them down a tad if I so choose). Funny thing is, I suddenly found myself in a dog fight with a sneaky Einie driver who nearly got the drop on me. Startled me so badly I was shooting at thin air more often than not. But none-the-less I not only sent him to Valhalla but caught a nifty little bit of ariel combat on film to boot. Enjoy...I know I did.

Always watch your six no matter how noisy the War gets.

Cheers!

Lou

Don't you just love it? I found myself twisting my head and neck to your every move, Lou. Nice video and thanks for putting it up for us to see.

LOL! Yup, me too as I was replaying it. I was thinking, "This bloke has got to be the worst damned shot in the whole French Air Service! And how did you like those vulching squad mates of mine? There'll be hell to pay in the canteen tonight I can assure you.

Cheers!

Hey, Lou, this Eini pilot taught you the art of flying and fighting.

What a courageous pilot, to fight three Nieuports! And he even lasted quite long

against your flight. I will watch it again, to learn of him - he's really flying his

kite very well.

When I see the Nupes sight, like a TV window, I wonder why they built it.

Was it bullet proof?

LOL! You're funny Olham. TV window. Yup, that way it always feels like my favorite show, "Dogfights".

And bulletproof? Doubt it VERY much.

BTW, since I mentioned vulching in my post above I got to wondering how many of you see this with your own AI wingies? I know it has to do with the performance level of the squadron itself as well as the number of historic aces that fly with you. The Lafayette Escadrille seems to be thick with this early on. I'm hoping we all learn to wrok together better as time goes on. If not, someone may end up getting their tail feathers brushed by friendly fire.

Lou, I don't find vulching in my lexicoen. Do you mean "acting like vultures"

(stealing your prey)?

Yes Sir, exactly. It means to swoop in like a vulture and steal someone else's kill.

Cheers!

That happens mostly with good or even elite Jastas to me, and only from the other flight.

My flight follows my orders. When I assign "return", they queue up without attacking.

If they should not follow that order, I would shoot them down - and they know that. :diablo:

Here is a short WMV...I suddenly found myself in a dog fight with a sneaky Einie driver who nearly...

That has got to be one of the best 'twist and turn' dogfights I've seen in OFF. I really thought an E.III would be dogmeat against a Nieuport. Too bad he wasn't visible when he went down. Well done!

Great video, great fight, and a salute to the lone but foolish Eindecker pilot who took on 3 Nupes.
