Here's a helpful thread that may help others.

 

For Instance......Did you know that you can now post MEDIA by using the MEDIA tag >> <<in the editor?

 

You can simple click on this tag.....enter in the URL to any of the following media links:

Flash Movie/Game

Flickr Image Set

GameTrailers

Google Video

MP3

MySpace Video

YouTube

 

And then enter and post.

What are the vote +/- buttons below the signature to the right?

 

When you read a topic you'll notice that in the lower right corner there's +'s and -'s. Those links allow you to set the importance of a topic or reply by rating the reply helpful or not.

 

It will also effect a members reputation points.

I like you can get and email summary of the forums you watch. I set one of mine to give me a summary at the end of the week.

I noticed you can download a discussion in different formats, that's a very useful option I could have used many times. I would have chosen open doc, rtf or pdf over the word format option, but I understand that it is a standard.

Also you can choose the font in the post, are they embedded in some way in the page so that everyone can display it correctly?

I found that I could include someone in on a PM discussion that had already been in process by invititing them. The new invitee can read the pre-existing posts see what's going on without any trouble.

a .doc format is a word format. Althought newer version use .docx I believe

Correct. The entire PM system has been converted over to what the developers call a Conversation System. Brilliant IMHO.
