Target Attacker = CNTRL+` (cntrl+accent)

Not sure if it works if you are running TrackIR. Probably not.

If you have TrackIR just look where the tracers are coming from like a real pilot would.

How anybody can rave about the immersion possible in OFF, one moment, and the next be talking of Padlocking, is beyond my comprehension.

'Whatever makes your boat float' dntknw.gif

Because the HAT views suck and not everyone has TrackIR.

Ditto.

So being unable to track the culprit visually as you would in RL the target indicator acts as your virtual eyes.

Maybe one day Father Christmas will bring a Trackir to the salty houseboat but till then its make the best use of what you got.

The danger with the TI is, you can end up just concentrating on the one target and miss others that may present themselves as a better victim

Has any of those without Trackir considered the use of FREE TRACK. I'm told that it works rather well in OFF clapping.gif

Pray tell me more, I am all ears

I flew Phase2 without Trackir and could track planes and look around using just the hat switch in 'pan' mode. It can be done (with practice), and no need for computer aids of any kind. But yes, hopefully a Trackir is in your future; it really is the way to go.

There is an alternative solution, though it involves the "cheat" of pausing during combat and using your TAC.

Pause the sim, change the range on your TAC radar until it is at minimum range (1 mile), then cycle through TAB (Next target) whilst watching the blips on your TAC. When the target nearest you is illuminated, that's the one you should be most worried about.

Building your own Free Track for OFF

Cheers
