I drove along the BAB near Ahlhorn shortly after the excercises had taken place (don't remember if it was in ' 84) and the tire marks were still on the road. An F4 ruined its exhaust nozzles on the safety barrier between the lanes when it touched down a bit short....... The traces of that were also still there.
