Help wanted, can´t get Gepard SPAAG to work.

Hello!

 

I´m running SF2E with NF4+. F-ing excellent mod!

 

I´ve felt that the NATO Air defence is weak and have modded this with Rapiers, Blowpipes, Rolands, m1939s, Chaparrals and Oerlikons (which btw are the s**t!!). The WP have gotten some add-ons as well, most notably the Tunguska. I also tried to add Marder Roland and the Gepard and here is where the problems starts;

 

1: Marder Roland and Gepard wont how up in the game, no matter how much i try. In my latest try i pasted 2S6´s Mission Data And the result is the following;

All guns and missls have been added, the Roland works in the Roland-pit so its not the problems, the servicestartyears are good. How come it wont work?

The missls on the Chaparral wont show, and i have trecked that to that the .bmp and .lod for the Chaparral missile in the Falklands mod pack (which i used to get modern SAMs)are wrong and in fact are the .bmp and .lods for the vehicle chaparral itself. Anyone know where i can get these files for the Chaparral missile?

This is a long shot. But I think the game handle friendly ground forces in germany as US. try change the country code and see it if helps

It could also mean how many friendly units are there too, usually that is a ratio of AAA sites, and how many are setup as "AAA". The more you have, the less some systems will show up, as there are only so many slots available and the game assigns them on it's own whim. So to do this you have to have some as "RARE" and that will hopefully allow the Gepard to show up.

I'll bet the problem is NOT in the data.inis at all, but in the main ini.

 

open the gepard.ini, and if it don't look like this (especially noting the highligted section):

Wrench spot on, no such Groundobjectdata in any of the above. This game and its modding is utterly astounding, and never ceases to baffle me with its complexity!

 

Works fine now!!

 

Now its gonna be a hard time to be a Russkie pilot ;D
