Em, nice toy. But it has a big recoil and its the question how reliable it is in combat. Can it fire also after landing in dirt and dust or is it such a beast like the first M-16s?

And my opinion to the last words of the reporter: Of course this weapon would be a big surprise to the enemy in Afghanistan, but if you remember back, how fast the soviets captured the top secret Stingers in Afghanistan (it were only few days after introduction into combat), then i doubt that the Taliban would get no access to this weapon.

Well, I agree with u Geph. I believe, really mate, u would be a much better reviewer of this "new" weap v. the ALWAYS (mostly) "knew better" (they self-proclaimed) reporters.

I doubt if this one can operate like the old, legendary AK-47s family (I saw at close range, even held in in my both hands, the 3-year ago new AK-107 something, and the truly awsome AK-74. Saw as well the Russkie various calibers riflies/semi-auto pistols' STELL penetrating bullets! The AK-47s (full-auto, not for export, the ones exported to mostly African nations being the three-burst version!) in Nam days could even stand a 3-month dumped in a ditch or burried in sands in MidEast areas amd still could fire flawlessly!

If, only if the semi-auto .9mm Makarov pistol offers as well for the famous, time-tested .9mm Parabellum, I believe I would have bought one back there when I was overseas.

Btw, I think the US Army previous KRISS (Indonesia's name for its KERIS pr dagger) to be much much better. See the Video in U-Tube, Search KRISS (of the US Army). It has a unique recoil reduxion mechanism, alas, it carries only 20, .45ACP ammos. There are version for civilians as well.

I read a lot GunsNAmmo of the USA.
