You think that was fun? ... wait until the Airbase attack mission next Saturday. We'll be escorting 4 Strutters with 4X40 lb. bomb loads.

Good looking Nupes! Some questions:

- Can a player fly an individual skin in MP ? (So that at least the numbering could be different?)

- Will you only fly Entente side, or later a German one too?

I think which side you fly on may be up to the guy putting the game up. We just finished a German side campaign on Sundays with Vasco's Volunteers. There we are just working through the sides. We are currently flying early British (DH2's and Strutters).

 

The first was American (Spad XIII) then German (1917), now early British. These are multi-week affairs but you can jump in any time, you dont have to be in at the beginning to fly, after all, some people actually do have personal lives.

 

The current Vasco campaign has no exterior views but you can use the tack, instruments (basically because the compass is really screwed up in the DH2) and labels (because it is very difficult to form up if you cant identify your flight leader). You also have complex fuel mixture management (know big deal to work with really) and weapons are set to strong.

Vasco and Stumpjumper have figured a way to give each craft in MP a different custom skin. When a pilot achieves 5 confirmed kills, he's allowed a unique custom skin. Stumpjumper then makes a new a/c file with the custom skin and it's placed in everyones aircraft folder. The craft is then specified in the mission builder and the player who owns it always jumps into his own craft at the MP loading screen.

 

After we complete the 9 missions I have already built for RNAS-6 flying N-17 Bis' we will fly the same exact missions again from the Axis perspective in Albatros DIII's. Maybe after that we'll fly them again with players on both sides. After that I'll start a new single player campaign in some other interesting craft and save the most challenging missions and convert them for the Saturday sessions.

You can see my custom skin, it's on all the planes of this type, but of course only I can see it.
