opening canopies

Hi installed the excellent operation desert storm thanks for all your hard work chaps

 

my problem is i cannot get the canopies to open if any one could give me any help it would be much appreciated thanks

Not all aircraft have canopies that open.

I know but I've tried them all no joy

And how did you try them? Not all aircraft use the same keys to animate the canopies.

I've noticed that typically SHIFT-1 all the way to SHIFT-9 is what will do it for ya... (if the a/c has it)

 

On a related note, I recently found out yesterday that Ctrl-O open bomb bay doors...couldn't figure out why my S-3 wouldn't drop it's bombs for a while there :)

I have to say, does no one play with the Options panel anymore?

 

Right in that area of the sim is a Controls panel...click on that and it shows the keylist for every function, and it's user changeable.

 

After the video options, that's the first thing I do with every game (shooter, sim, RTS, etc) I play is customize my controls...seems like it would be natural.

Hi in my control options ive set up canopies open as numpad Enter the same in WOV

Screw the controls screen :)

 

It's much more fun to go down the rows of your keyboard to hit a command and see the result. Rather shocking to see a missile fly off the rail and be like "oh...that's the key for that" as well as finding the key combo for Eject.

 

Next sim you get, you should try that way. You'll have a ton of fun on your first go around.

Sometimes, the basics are just a bit too advanced for some!
