How to get your sorties more thrilling!

Recommended Posts

Hihi, I could laugh buckets full about myself!

Around 18 h, I had enlisted a new pilot with Jasta 17, to fly a new skin.

And I had already gone through the briefing, and sat in my Albatros D Va ready for go,

when I realised I was hungry. So I paused the sim, and started to make me spaghetti

with fried aubergines and Mozzarella. Whilst I prepared these, my neighbouress rang

to say thank you for a favour I had done her. She found it smelled very good, and I

invited her to eat with me. She had made a salad, and so we ate all this, and had a

nice chat.

After a long time, I came back to my screen and saw: "Oh, the mission is still waiting!"

I released "pause", started the engine, rolled along the field and took off.

Made the usual look over my shoulder, before I would check the map and compass.

And what the heck - we are under attack! Dark bulky shadows rushing over the field,

one of our craft is on fire! SPAD XIII !!!

For a milisecond I thought "What a wonderful idea from the devs, to build in such a

surprise attack! Man, what a shock!"

But then I remembered: it was a "scramble" - I had only forgotten! Hihihi!!!

good one rofl.gif .

reminds me of, when i started once a allied career, and i have 99,99% german campaigns, i was flying and there was after a while an albatros flying behind me. i was yawningly and bored looking at him. nothing special. when i suddenly realized i'm an englishman an no german, i jumped like sitting down with my arse on a sting heat.gif . that made me older.

good story, olham

I think everybody with plenty of hours playing OFF has experienced something like that. I know I've sometimes lost pilots for very stupid reasons. Here's a useful hint for everybody: don't play OFF when you're tired and have had a little too much to drink.
