No. That was done specifically for copyright protection.

If you have a LOD file created by you, the source file must be also there, as you cannot create a LOD out of nothing. So this "import" option would be totaly useless. If the source file is missing because of a HD crash or other problem, you are remembered the hard way to back up your stuff!
