Apparently the buzz (pun intended) is that all the players seemed to have forced the committee to decide to ban the vuvuzellas from the stadiums, due to the enervating sound... I've never liked them in the first place, good riddance indeed!

 

And Hoch soll sie Leben, Die Mannschaft!!!       Great going yesterday vs Aussies - really wasn't sure how they were going to perform since it's one of the youngest german national teams that Germany has presented, yet they've proven themselves that they continue to be a contender for the win - Gut gemacht, Jungs!!! Immer weiter so!!!

One of the great things about the World Cup is the opportunity to wind up a bunch of all too serious nutcases on various forums. I'm working on one currently in Youtube and it's been fun so far!

Well Italy embarrassed themselves, or Paraguay has put together a real formidable team... I don't know how to look at this one. Altogether ending in a tie, it was a pathetic 'loss' and a great 'win' for the respective teams.

 

I agree though, as it seems Germany's got it dialed in correctly this time around. I'm going with them as my favorite, Italy as my come-from-behind winner, and USA as the total long shot.
