shotdown Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Do to the B-1 what they did to the f-15 "silent eagle" , the B-1 "silent bone" Do you mean internal weapon storage?
+MigBuster Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 thought the B-1 already had that - oh well job done I guess
HarryM Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 The book I mentioned was a compilation of several books, each on a separate plane. I wonder if your book was the source. I recognize the diagram as well, I'll have to pull my copy out of the closet and examine it! Just looked, yes, page 475.
+JediMaster Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 The funny thing is since the beginning the B-1 was configured for external weapons carriage as well, but AFAIK that ability has never been used operationally. Of course, that was just for cruise missiles I think, not the unpowered bombs it mainly drops now...
rotarycrazy Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 (edited) Do you mean internal weapon storage? More RAM, AESA radar, and some changes to the surfaces to make it a bit more dificult to pick up on radar like the B-1R Edited September 29, 2010 by rotarycrazy
