What do you think happened? Did he push the brakes too hard?

 

someone further down in the log stated that " the brakes were locked as in a mechanical failure ".

IIRC the whole engine will have to be subjected to NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) before it can be recertified. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ May be more cost effective to replace it.

Well, at least they walked away from it, which makes it a good landing. BTW, the Stearman was the very first plane I ever flew in, at about age 10 or so. Been a fan of flying ever since.
