Any WWII addons for SF2

I was wondering if there was a WWII addon for SF2 with aircraft maps ect ect.

Yes and No.

 

all the terrains will work with minimal editing of their data inis. (excpeting some unresolvable issues on the EAW_Euro WW2 terrain)

 

However...

 

ALL (and I mean ALL 350+ aircraft, including subvariants) currently available need completly new flight models to take advantage of all the "particulars" in the SF2 engine. Many could also stand complete rebuilds of their LODs, as they were (for the most part) created BEFORE the 06 1stGen patch level, and are showing their age. (this is NOT to discredit them in any way -- after all, I am The Head Prop Head around here, running the PropHeads forum, and right now they're all we got)

 

Some aircraft, available at another site have some at the 08 1stGen patch level, and work fairly well (in 08 levels), but much more fine tuning is required for the SF2 series.

 

For myself, I'm dying here...with nearly 5+ years of modding WW2 stuf...we need to get them in SF2 fully opertional

 

As to what's available .. check the PropHead forum for a semi-complete listing (one of the stickies), and ALWAYS look in our Download section -- you'll find WW2 sections right there

Thanks so much! I think Ill stick to IL-2 1946 for prop stuff for now, but that is showing its age to and doesn't have a dynamic atmosphere like SF2 and such. If Storm of War:Battle of Britain ever comes out then that will be the ultimate WWII flight sim.

as for that other site, i have had little problem with the eastern front birds for Wings over Russia. not being a WWII buff myself but interested in the immediate post war period, i found it useful for some red air over the berlin air corridors and they dont do anything to make you say WTF! i am far from a FM guy though so could not quite vouch for accuracy. as to the individual aircraft from that site, they work in Gen 2 but can be interesting to watch. now if we can get a working P-47D, say 86 FG in 1948 we're in business!

from my mew SF2 SOVIET bombs pack (under final testing, '+' is test succesful), bombs can be converted to SF1 by ini edit, lods are COMPATIBLE, new effect for chemical bombs, flare bombs included.
