dokken1212 0 Posted November 28, 2010 Hey guys, Thanks so much for the kind welcome ..... very grateful indeed fella's :-) I will of course do as advised and 'read up' as much as I can whilst waiting to take to the skies :-) ....... As I understand it the attrition rate is high so no doubt I will lose my fair share of pilots lol I have a fairly hefty (ish) rig in that I can run RoF on full settings with no lag so am hoping my rig will cope with OFF. I have invested in a Thrustmaster HOTAS stick also for the game .... not sure if it was a wise move or not but just fancied it lol. At the moment I use a cyborg evo which likely would be better with the speedy nature of requiring to alter throttle in dogfights. Whereas with the HOTAS it may be a little more cumbersome for that ...... only time will tell on that score lol. If I can't use the HOTAS at least it will sit on my computer desk as a nice ornament which when people see it they will think 'I know what I'm doing' lol As for buying the first round ..... more than happy to oblige and buy all you fine pilots some nectar of your choice :-) ......cheerz guys All the best James
tranquillo 10 Posted November 28, 2010 Hi guys Just thought I would drop in and say 'hello' to everyone as I have just purchased OFF and HiTR. Looks absolutely superb :-) I only ordered OFF 2-3 days ago so likely wont get playing for another week or so but I also bought HiTR for installing once OFF arrives :-) (Also CFS 3) Can't wait to get started ....... have been playing 'Rise of Flight' over the last few days but OFF looks way better and more in-depth :-) Anyway guys 'Tally - Ho' and look forward to speaking to you all as I get more engrossed in OFF ......hurry up postman!!! lol speak soon fella's James A bit late with my welcome, dokken1212, but have been flying most of the weekend. As you've seen, you will get a warm welcome here. 2 things you will not regret in your life: getting OFF and joining this forum. Mine's a pint of Spitfire . Bullethead 12 Posted November 30, 2010 Sometimes the modern soldier takes 'amphetimines' or PEP Pills. And he never had to aquire them on his own. With them you are able to maintain your EDGE for Days, if need be. Also your senses are much more ACUTE.It's truely amazing how long you can go without sleep . . . . . sometimes even naturally OK Unc, the DEA's got your meth lab surrounded. Come out with your hands up Seriously, though, crank has a long history of military usage. It was commonly available on both sides in WW2. See the movie "The Cruel Sea" for an example of British usage. And one of today's homebrew meth recipes is called the "Nazi method" because it's broadly similar to the WW2 German recipe. Hell, into the 1960s, crank was available over the counter under the name "NoDoze". You can still get "NoDoze", but since then it's just been caffiene pills. And some diet pills well into the 1980s had a fair amount of crank in them.
