Aero L-39 C/ZO/ZA Albatros add on pack

Recommended Posts

Great work MontyCz, the model is visually pleasant, the cockpit is functional and, last but not least as it's often overlooked in the mods, the documentation is exemplary!good.gif

There's a very small typo in the "L-39ZO_USERLIST.INI" file though, as Libya is spelt "Lybia" in it.

Updatet Userlist for the L-39ZO:

[Lybia]

ServiceStartYear=1976

ServiceEndYear=2010

Availability=VERY_COMMON

[EGermany]

ServiceStartYear=1976

ServiceEndYear=1990

Availability=COMMON

[WGermany]

ServiceStartYear=1990

ServiceEndYear=1991

Availability=COMMON

[iraq]

ServiceStartYear=1976

ServiceEndYear=1991

Availability=COMMON

[Egypt]

ServiceStartYear=1976

ServiceEndYear=1999

Availability=COMMON

[Hungary]

ServiceStartYear=1976

ServiceEndYear=2010

Availability=COMMON

Hello Soulfreak,

Lybia should be spelt Libya in your list.

Cheers

Monty,

as I'm eager to learn how to mod the FM, and eventually how to elaborate an FM by myself, I closely looked at your beautiful L-39's data and I noticed something that I would be very grateful to be educated about from you, if you please.

The [AircraftData] parameters like EmptyMass, ReferenceArea, ReferenceSpan and EmptyInertia are different from the figures found in, supposedly, reliable sources*.

Of course, I fully understand and support the fact that each and any author have an artistic licence and is free to use any figure that would fit its taste and goals.

That said, I'm wondering why figures have to be adapted for SF2 and how much exactly?

FrankD

the numbers dont have to be "adapted" for use in SF2 world

you can use exactly what you supposed to.

Differences in my ini and your sources are because I had different

sources, If I remember only empty inertia I tried from lotus FSX version once

and it wasnt good for me. I preffer feeling of aircraft ingame than exact numbers.

I hope it helps you with your own FM work, but remember I do my FMs like a blacksmith

would make a Swiss watch :-)
