Hello all, i've been hanging out on the forum for some time, i rarely post as the knowledge base has it all really, but my problems, or questions, are thus:

How on earth do you fire a paveway bomb, i assume is a LGB and thus a laser is needed, but on the harrier GR.7 there is no option for a laser. For other aircraft i assume you add a laser to the loadout, but once that is done, how do you paint the target and start the music so to speak, does it do it all automatically, and once the target is selected you just do a normal bomb run?

Also i was flying an anti shipping strike in a mirrage 2000, was kitted out with a torpedo and again, how on earth do you fire the thing, i cycled throuh my radars and i got a lil screen which appeared to be a camera view from either the nose of my aircraft of the torp itself, but still would not release when i pushed the toggle, i alread have the weapons ,manual, and the othrs provided on this web site, perhaps i have finnaly made a muppet of myself and missed something in the knowledge base. Eitherway some help would be greatly appriacted for all questions asked.

Cheers,

Moof.

(Edit)

forgot to mention im runing strike fighters 2 V, E, I all merged with the vietnam ground war gold expansion pack thingy.

:frantic: Somebody does read it!

:groupwave:

If the plane has no internal laser or a laser pod the only target they may attack with an LGB is the primary target of Strike missions. The game sort of assumes that the target is lased by special forces on the ground nearby.

Since the engine does not support torpedoes or radar guided weapons I suppose the modded torp works like an EO bomb, AGM, LGB. When using these weapons you have to get a visual lock on the target with the "E" key.

Extract and is Adobe PDF. I need to update it for moving targets but should help...

Also Moofles find the TIALD 400 in the loadout screen, that's your Harrier specific laser pod. You can mount others but graphically it looks weird.

Thankyou for the excellent replies, im just having one rather small problem, i have downloaded the harrier GR-7 from Column 5 (sorry if i have broken a rule about using other modding sights, but i was unable to find the harrier here) anyway i digress, i cannot for the life of me see the tiald 400 to select it, i can see the weapons folder in the weapons folder, and it contains all of the right files, o have a wide berth of weapons to choose from, just not that one, i have killer bees 2 weapon packs. Anybody have any ideas.

Cheers.

There's no rule against using other sites, and Column5 is one of the better sites to get stuff from...

Not sure on your problem, open the TIALD data file and look for Exported... if it's FALSE, change it to TRUE and it may show up.

Thanks for the help, i noticed that the start year of the plane was 1990, while the start year of the TIALD is 1991, changed it to 1990, and boom, all is good, thanks for all the help again.
