Marine Corps Silent Drill Mistake?

Recommended Posts

So I was watching this video when a Marine appears to make a mistake. I say appear because I'm not sure if it was really an accident or if it was part of thier routine. I'm not sure so I'm considering the source. If was fake then they did a good job. If was real then they did a good of job of pulling it off...and the question is what will happen to the guy that messed up?

As a former member of a Drill Team, stuff like this happens. You practice, practice, practice and hope to pull it off during a show/parade. Sometimes, it doesn't as you saw. Neither lost their bearing. The stock will be replaced, onto the next show... No harm, no foul.

missing catching the rifle isn't part of the routine.. (someone can get hurt)

Sh$t Happens!!! :yikes:

Those white gloves make it a lot more difficult to catch anything.

Repair the rifle and on to the next show.

Great recovery by the NCO in charge. OOORRRAAAHHH!!!

A little more practice for the guy that missed catching it.
