DWCAce 19 Posted January 5, 2011 I know there's a company that has the Su-27 out of Rockford IL, but I can't remember the name.

+ST0RM 145 Posted January 6, 2011 Nice link EZ. I've been following the recent flights of their MiG-29UB. Its truly amazing that we've got privately owned, front-line MiGs flying in the US. Who would have thought it back in the 60-70s when the Red Hat squadron was secretly testing them in the Nevada desert. On a side note. I get to see several of ATSI's TA-4Js flying around here. They are contracted with Boeing for KC-767 test/chase duties. I'd love to get out to Virginia to catch some ATAC's Kfirs and Hunters. Heard their Draken hass been down for a while though. -S
JediMaster 451 Posted January 7, 2011 Well, I guess that depends on your definition of "front-line". The 29UB they're using I'm sure was built in the 1980s and likely hasn't had any OEM upgrades.

It was more of a generic term for the MiG-29 and Su-27 flying in frontline service with the Russian AF, versus the actual two they've got.
